Hey, Adventurers!
I know it's been a minute, but we have been furiously working to complete a few projects and it has been, well, an adventure!
Randomica
Our Randomica project was a smashing success and we have mostly fulfilled it. We are waiting on the printer to send us a physical proof to approve, then we can begin fulfilling the Kickstarter orders that include a tangible copy of the book. Super exciting!
Vertigo
Vertigo has almost completely shipped, too! We are waiting on the last few books to arrive for those that ordered the bigger packages. The hardcover stuff takes a lot longer to produce than the paperbacks.
Nocturne
Nocturne has had a few hiccups, but we have learned so much from it! It seems like every day we gain a new proficiency lol. I hope to have more updates on that by the end of the weekend. Maybe even some sneak peeks!
New Team Members
To help streamline the process of putting these projects out, we have expanded the WereRabbit team! Cole is helping in the art department, and Dave is our new editor. Welcome, guys :D
Next Warren Issue: Horizons
Our next issue of Warren Magazine is Horizons. It is reminiscent of a US dust bowl setting. Think Wild West, but without all the cowboys. I will have more on that later, but I wanted to let you know that the project is underway. I have just about finished writing the issue, but I wanted to get Nocturne more finalized before bringing it to the funding stage. I'd like for these to be more complete by then. We are restructuring our production schedules to include the new hands on deck. We should be able to produce these more efficiently and expeditiously going forward. The hope is we can launch the Kickstarter in the next 2-3 weeks. I originally wanted this to ship by the end of the year, but that won't happen.
Our magazine production schedule should have us back on track to release on a quarterly basis in 2025. The first issue of the year is scheduled for March, and explores our vision of the fey. I'm sure you'll dig it.
Operation: Ferret Wrangler
I'm pretty excited about the next project. We've known for a while that our first major book was going to be a monster book. I just love making monsters! Everyone makes monster books though, right? We have something special in mind and I can't wait to share it! Just not yet lol. For now, we'll simply announce that Operation: Ferret Wrangler is on the books and currently scheduled to release in Q1 2026. I know that's a long way out, but here are our projected milestones:
-
December 2024: Formal announcement
-
January - February 2025: Begin sharing content relevant to the project.
-
June 2025: Share roughed out version of the project.
-
August - September 2025: Bring the project to Kickstarter.
-
October - November 2025: Send the project to the printers.
-
January - March 2026: Fulfill orders.
My goal is to tighten that schedule as much as possible along the way, but I want to make sure that we are able to create an amazing product on a realistic timeline.
Maps
So now for the fun stuff. The plan was always to release maps with our adventures, but timing has made this difficult to accomplish. With our new system, I have been able to start messing around with software that simplifies the process for me to create maps to accompany our adventures. I guess my big question is: what kind of maps do you prefer:
Isometric Maps
Top-Down Maps
I am just curious. Obviously they both have their merits, but how would you like to see maps depicted in a adventure/magazine/book? I'd love to hear your feedback on this.

Thanks so much for the love and support! New awesome stuff to resume posting next week :D
